IceParrot
I have been reading nano-reef for quite a while now and decided it was time to make an account. This is morning I saw this guy and thought at first it may be a nudibranch but after more research I think it might be a flatworm. Are they harmful? I have only seen one and my tank is still cycling so no corals. (sorry for the crappy pics but the thing was fast) Quote Link to comment

Hard to tell what kind from the pic but I’d get it out of there. 1 Quote Link to comment
RayWhisperer
WV is right. It’s a flatworm of some sort. Not an exact match, but most of the larger flatworms have similar prey. http://www.melevsreef.com/critter/mollusc-eating-flatworm i had one similar to this many years ago. Couldn’t keep any snails alive for more than a few days. Couldn’t figure out why. Found a flatworm about the size of my palm when I broke the tank down out of frustration. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Zane W
What color is it? If it's clear its most likely a Ghost Flatworm(good), if it has a red head with tan body it's a Red Menace(iffy), and if its tan with orange its a pumpkin flatworm(bad) 1 Quote Link to comment
IceParrot
I am pretty sure it is a ghost flatworm. Thanks everyone! Quote Link to comment
