Aelvion
It is hard as a rock. Polyps never extend but the coral itself has doubled in size over there last 12 months. Current size is approx. 2x4 inches. Quote Link to comment

lakshwadeep
I would think Turbinaria (assuming that's the cup coral you are referring to). 1 Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Turbinaria = Cup Coral = Scroll Coral https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbinaria_(coral) 1 Quote Link to comment
Aelvion
I'm not sure it is a cup coral, that's why I'm asking. Looking at pictures online, cup coral seem to resemble it, but was looking for an ID 1 Quote Link to comment

mcarroll
You just made me realize my "equation" was incorrect up there....(but the wikipedia link has a clear explanation) A scroll coral is a Turbinaria. But not all Turbinaria (a genus) are scoll corals (a type or species). :-) The OP has a scoll coral. 1 Quote Link to comment
