Stocking ideas - 5gal nano reef

Hello, I´m starting a new tank (my first nano reef) so:

Are there any marine fish that could be happy in a 5 gallon reef? Maybe a pair of clown gobies? And for the clean-up crew: any suggestions on how many of which species of snails, hermits etc.? Thanks for all replies...

Clown gobies would be perfect.  Barnacle blennies are lots of fun too.  If you have a sandbed nassarius snails are good.  Probably 2 would be enough.  Pom pom or anemone crabs are pretty cute.  Peppermint shrimp are good cleaners but will steal food from coral like acans and such.

I have a bicolor blenny in my 5g. She's doing great. Plenty of swimming room.

For cuc nassaurius snails, trochus, and ceriths.

Scarlet hermits are cool.

You could do sexy shrimp or a skunk cleaner shrimp. Both of those would add life to the tank.

Would a pair (or trio) of clown gobies be OK? And what about trochus and tectus snails for the CU crew? You know, for those pesky diatoms...

I read somewhere multiple clown gobies can fight but my LFS did have a bunch in one tank when I bought mine and they were all just chilling like clown gobies do. They do just perch a lot and not move, but I find yellow clown gobies to be charming and adorable.

Sexy shrimp are a blast to watch in my opinion. I'd put like 3 sexy shrimp in there if I was you.

I have a 5.5 gallon and have had good luck with both red and blue legged hermit crabs.  Some will say they can pick at corals but that has not been the case with me.  I have also relied upon basic nerite, narcissus (small, inexpensive -- $1-2 at my LFS) snails as needed.  During the "Great Green Hair Algae Wars" I employed emerald crabs and they worked wonderfully.

Any pics of what you have set up thus far?

Good luck!
