AkOndray
I recently got a paired yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp. They've been doing well adapting to my tank and have built out a safe space under my rocks. For the past two days however, the pistol has been snapping at the Goby pretty frequently, especially during feeding times. As best as I can gather, he does it when he wants the goby to go out so they can both get food (the goby is rather skittish so he doesn't like to go much out of the hole, even for food). Is this normal? Wondering if maybe they don't have enough space and that's why he's snapping at him so much, or if there's some better way I should be feeding them (I've been dropping in pellets, sucking them up with a turkey baster, and letting them fall out of the baster to the sand near one of their cave entrances). Donny41
My pistol does pretty much the same thing when my watchman grabs food. Think it's an attempt by the pistol to have the goby share 1 Quote Link to comment
falcooo
My pair behaves the same. The pistol will also snap whenever snails or crabs get too close to their entrance. 1 Quote Link to comment
