lhernandez86
Anyone have a preference for this? I'm thinking dry flakes but not sure what everyone has had good results with. I used to have Argent Cyclopeeze and that stuff was amazing....but they are no longer around. Any suggestions for similar results? That food made the fish colors extremely bright and vibrant. xthunt
Hikari seemed to talk a good game about fish color when I read their site once. Japanese take their koi color and health pretty serious. They say their food was used for all winning championships since 2003. Don’t know if that transfers to their marine foods though. http://www.hikariusa.com/marine.html Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
LRS is amazing stuff and you can't convince me any dry food is better. Throw some live black worms in the mix now and again and you going to have some happy fish. Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Foods with natural pigments in them are what you want....Krill, reef plankton and similar will bring oranges and reds, but that's the tip of the iceberg. Here's an interesting article on why (some) fish have the colors they do: Red fish, blue fish: trade-offs between pigmentation and immunity in Betta splendens It speaks to some of the coloration pignments you're interested in. (They look at Betta's in the article but the info does not only apply to betta's....don't let that turn you off of reading it. :-)) Quote Link to comment
