capsule
Hi, I have an aquarium to custom build for a project. The dimensions are 3 x 1.5 x .5 metres. I'd be using acrylic plastic sheets to build the aquarium. What should be the optimal thickness of the sheet to construct the aquarium for the said dimensions. Since it is the first time, I am working with acrylic I need help and suggestions. Pls, share your thoughts. Quote Link to comment
HookedOnAquariums
there are several ways to do things. Thinner acrylic (about 13mm) with a large top brace is the cheapest and easiest way to build things. But what I would do is use 19mm-20mm acrylic with a 7.75cm eurobrace with two 15.25 inch cross braces. Disclaimer: my estimates are probably waaaay thicker than it could be, I just don’t like water on my floor. 1 Quote Link to comment
This guy is extra salty
Depending on design you can go with 12mm what and how are you cutting it with? Thermwood? Vytek laser? Quote Link to comment
