Pod Your Reef

I found an anemone that I really like, and I’m wondering if anyone would know where I could possibly get one.

I really loved the color of this anemone, and I was wondering if anyone would have any info on it? Its name is in the picture, but wondering if it’s possible to put in a reef tank, and where I could get one.

The common "trade" name for that would be Beadlet anemone. They are a cold water species, requiring water below 70 degrees and therefor requiring a dedicated cold-water reef.  I have not seem any for sale, but here is a site with more information:

I would suggest a rose bubble tip anemone instead

I already have a BTA, but a rose one would be nice, I just really liked the beadlet nem, if I ever dedicate a tank to colder water, I know what I’m getting.

They are cold water nems though I believe a supplier breeds them at tropical temps. My LFS actually has some... oddly... if they wern't asking 60 each I would have bought them for my tank.

Trying to remember the name of the supplier....

Found it... Reef Gen breeds them for reef tanks and you have to have a LFS order from them as they are a wholesaler.

But the water temp has to be in the 60s or 70s tho right?

I don't think they breed them in any special conditions, maybe contact ReefGen?

There are many subtropic/temperate fish and snails that are bred/sold in reef environments so its fairly believable they have a strain adapted to it.
