Noobreefer90
I’m new to the hobby and have been wondering if I have been keeping my lights on bright for to long corals don’t seem to mind it but don’t want it to effect anything else maybe algae. I turn my light on before I leave for work at 3 in the am and don’t normally turn them off till 9 pm do you think I should start dimming them down to med blue around 5-6 would be fine till bed time. I just like to watch the corals and etc I don’t think there is away to set my tank on a timer because it’s the kind of light that’s touch and have to hold the + to turn it on and make full bright Quote Link to comment
Noobreefer90
And as of right now I have a hood on my tank and where the light was suppose to go the glass is missing and I have the light hovering about that maybe 4 inch’s should I make my tank open top and move the light up a little. My filter is slashing on my light and making dry salt on the less Quote Link to comment
luckie1966
8 to 10 Hrs. lite time. Splashing leads too salt creep and evaporation. Try to control the splashing. Leds getting wet is never a good thing water has a way to get places it shouldn't. Use blue lites for late viewing. Quote Link to comment
