They’re pretty hardy, yea they’ll can probably survive.

Cool! That's great to know, i'd love to get a snail clean up crew without actually having to buy any.

Every time I try to put some snails in there they die of starvation. I think now I have just one giant astrea snail left. Rock is pretty much algaeless. That said my tank is mature enough that my phos is 0.02 even without running carbon or purigen. I do have an ac50 converted fuge with a red grow light.

I have been told that adding too many CuC member at the same time isn't a good idea, once my tank is cycle and iv'e gotten a significant algae bloom i'll probably just add a few and see how it goes.
