MrObscura
Maybe I'm missing something, but I see people using media reactors to create algea reactors and was just wondering if there's some reason you couldn't just take a cheap aquarium, throw a light on it, stuff it with macro, and then cycle water through it constantly. HookedOnAquariums
There is not. Media reactors just take up less space and can be mounted practically anywhere. Also they look better in most people opinions. I would prefer a in sump Refugio my because you can grow things other Thant chaeto, you have more space, and you can shove heaters and stuff like that in the Fuge 1 1 Quote Link to comment

You would have to drill at least one hole if you want the diy Fuge. A reactor would be better for your application 1 Quote Link to comment
