CD_Scapes
I purchased the aqueon 2.5 gallon white during Black Friday at Petco for $24. The plan is to make a Pacific Northwest biotope with a Catalina goby or two. I do have a few questions though, the lab we are putting the tank in averages temps of 62 degrees. We are ordering from Matsu Collections. 1. Is the tempature okay fora catalina goby? 2. Can the be gobies be fed frozen brine shrimp/other frozen foods? We can catch live brine shrimp too. 3. How can I upgrade the light for macroalgae? 4. Would glass anemones eat the gobies? Here’s the stocking list: Livestock 3 x Pacific hermit crabs Hemphills kelp crab Blue-Ring topsnail 2 x Black periwinkle Rough limpet Sculpin or Bluebanded goby Macroalgea Fauchea lacianata (Blue algae) Plocamiumcartilagineum (Red algae) Silvetia compressa (Brown algae) Ulva (Green algae) Codium fragile (Green Algae) Quote Link to comment
CD_Scapes
Here’s the tank out of the box, it might be able to grow macros. I might add small sections of reds and blues to add colors 1 Quote Link to comment

The rocks are “river rocks” from Walmart. I also took a few fanworms from our cool water touch tank (64 degrees) 2 Quote Link to comment

CD_Scapes
Live stock order is on hold, I added 2 clumps of red macro algea and some green culerpa too? Sanded the back outside “pane” to get a frosted effect and added a blue led as backdrop lighting. Fanworms are still kicking, kits waiting for more stock 3 Quote Link to comment

CD_Scapes
Well how the plans have changed! I’m now thinking of turning this into more of a culuerpa cove! I also got an “internship” at my local saltwater fish store! Today I picked up 2 new species of culuerpa, a center rock formation and 2 red legged hermit crabs! Tomororw I will be getting a peppermint shrimp and maybe some snails? I hope to get red grape and palm culuerpa too. Maybe some brown palyps and a shrimp/goby pair 1 Quote Link to comment
CD_Scapes
Well here’s the tank now, I might move the caulerpa racemosa to a new tank and get porifera instead and the tank is way less blue in person 2 Quote Link to comment
CD_Scapes
Went back and got 2 nerite snails, a Banded tarasus snail?, a nassarius snail, lots of caulerpa porifera and a peppermint shrimp. I also changed the light to fit the tank which required some cutting of the lid. I also got a 2nd rock piece for the left corner. I hope to get a pair of Trimma gobies for the tank and upgrade to a 5 gallon minibow 3 Quote Link to comment

CD_Scapes
Well this tank is 100% stocked minus maybe some palyps, I am starting to plan a 20 long tank 2 Quote Link to comment
CD_Scapes
Well I’m down to 1 shrimp, 1 hermit and a nerite. The macro has grown a lot, I want some corals but the tank doesn’t heat enough so that’s a problem 1 Quote Link to comment
Chris's Fishes
How're things going in this tank? I love coldwater tanks, and I love picos - this tank is a dream come true! Quote Link to comment
CD_Scapes
I moved everything to a 20 long, almost tidepool style m. But when I refilled the tank, I put in freshwater RO instead of saltwater RO 😭😭😭😭 Quote Link to comment
