@NanoRox sorry if I'm all up in your business...carry on. Great job so far!

@Oceanbox Designs no problem at all.  Its good for folks to know all the costs that go into making and selling anything.  I am in the testing stages myself and that alone is costing time and money.  It's been a wonderful learning experience and one I am happy to share with people as I go through it.

We need to collaborate on an Oceanbox/NanoRox project and really create something unique!  😉

Why do a conversion kit when you can build it for the same price?

Of of course these are all prototypes but I do this for fun on my down time at work

really?  how much does it expand?  I had no idea.

Not much but it is enough to shattered a tank. You can find people with this issue when they used acrylic baffles too tight in a sump. I am guilty before I knew.

RocketEngineer sounds smart: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2500956 Maybe he is smart? Idk 🙂 I no /math derp 🤤

You may want to rethink just having one that silicone in just so you can have that space for the acrylic to expand a bit without water seeping through. However, if its not a peninsula style, then there is obviously no worry.

I sure like your design Duane. Think you might sell them in the future? Thanks

That's the plan.  I just tested V.2 and it worked great but I have to make some adjustments.  V.3 being cut as we speak.  I'm getting there but its a slow process for sure.

Appreciate it sir, it's a great looking setup. Thanks for sharing your photos. A 5gal sump kit is another idea that might have a market while you are at it.

That’s run of the mill trash. They have a filter sock come on don’t give up why did you waste all this time to quit.

I don't think I wasted my time.  I learned a lot.  It just did not make sense for me to continue for a list of various reasons.
