Changing spectrum on Chinese black box led

Does anyone have experience changing the spectrum on their Chinese black box led light? I’ve read online that blue lights around 450nm and 10k white lights are best for coral growth? I was also wondering if I need to get rid of the red and green and yellow led’s. If I take them out should I replace them with blues or whites?

I wouldnt change anything.

 

10k white and 450 blue may make for good growth but the color rendering would suck.

That actually seems like a pretty decent mix of LED colors.If anything, I might swap out a few of the 6500k for some blues in the 420-450nm range. You could also swap a couple of the red LED's, you really don't need 4 of them. Beyond these changes, I would probably leave it alone.

Do you know where I can buy the led diodes? Thank you for your help

I was able to find them on amazon a couple months ago, ebay would also have them.
