Hey all,

 

This morning my emerald crab decided to re-arrange my acans again.

 

Normally I'd be pissed but this time I think he was trying to show me something...

 

 

This seems to have grown from nowhere. 

 

I've never had anything like this grow

 

Is it something i should be worried about? I quite like the Acan... How do I kill it safely?

I hate blue LEDs. They make pictures suck. Near as I can tell, it's probably chicken liver sponge. Harmless, unless it starts to compete for space with the coral. In which case, I'm not sure sir kills chicken liver sponge. You might need to do a peroxide dip if the sponge does anything. They usually dont want to grow into the light, though. So, I think your scans should be fine, and the sponge will just grow under them.
