What kind of algae is this ?

I have a 10 gallon set up for almost 8 months, I have a bloom of brown algae , especially all over glass . I clean everyday and it comes back in a few hours . Some area i see its stringy . I noticed this started when i switched the my chemipure and purigen in my filter . I just have one shrimp so I don’t really feed the tank often .

Could be diatoms.. Have you been over feeding? Or changed your water source lately?

 

Get an efficient CUC, watch over feeding, a glass scrapper and make sure you keep up your husbandry, then that will dissapear in no time.

Nope I just have ome Shrimp and never over feed . Well I have changed my water source every 3 weeks . Will try to do 2 weeks for now . I just have 2-3 astrea snails in my 10 gallon . Might need to get some more cuc .
