Degloved Toadstool Coral

TatorTaco

Recommended Posts

Recently moved a toadstool coral and wedged a small rock to hold it in place for a couple weeks to ensure it'd do well there.

Came home the next day to what appears to be a degloved coral. Little bits and pieces are now floating away from the piece of the stalk that has the crown.

Is this coral trashed and should I throw it away?

Should I try to frag the crown?

Omg that’s terrible! And are you a doctor?? Haven’t heard that term lately. Yikes. 😬

I’m thinking maybe it can still be fragged, hopefully someone will chime in with guidance.

Did you move it in a dead flow spot or higher to the light?

I did move it to a higher flow area with higher light before I noticed the problem. 😞

Not a doctor or have a medical profession. Saw a video or something about the term on reddit once upon a time and the term never lost my mind.

It it does appear that’s exactly what has happened to it though.
