dqwest
Hi all... Just stating my IM 30L build. I received 30lbs of dryrock from reef cleaners. I threw a scape together and am wondering If i can get some help. FTS Too symmetric? Top Down on an angle Note: The tank is pictured with a single AI Prime HD. I plan on adding one more before its cycled. My inspiration tanks: @A Little Blue, @specore, @micoastreefing 3 2 Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Looks really good to me. 😁 Your tank is going to look good once it gets established. Quote Link to comment
A Little Blue
I actually like your scape better than my own so kudos on that part. Happy reefing and welcome to IM30L club. No need to put a rush on the Prime light. Actually, you can skip light entirely during the cycle. It could potentially minimize algae bloom. We all love looking at our newly setup tank and I do get it, but try keeping your tank lit to minimum. It could help you avoid few issues that are usually associated with cycling the tank. Good job👍👍👍 Quote Link to comment
mitten_reef
I think the scape looks REALLY good!! I like that little cove on the right side. Even though it may be a bit symmetrical looking right now. Different coral species, placements, and growth will eventually help break up that symmetry. Quote Link to comment

paulsz
Looks really good to me! I would just make sure that there is enough room between the glass and the rock for an algae scraper (if you plan on having one). I put my rocks way too close to the glass so there are some spots that my magfloat can't get to and I have to manually clean. Quote Link to comment
dqwest
Thanks for the tips. I made sure my scrapper can fit. Quote Link to comment
NuisanceAlgaeCultivator
Looks good, there’s no wrong or right, but I think a narrow long rock connecting the two islands and creating a cove under would be neat too. Like I said aesthetics are just opinions though. good luck! Quote Link to comment

For some reason I never learn this myself when I start a new tank. Quote Link to comment
