Jamie123
Hi guys my zoanthid colony looks like it might have zoa pox. I have heard that zoa pox makes the polyps close but mine open up fully. I have tried to blow the spots off and they are inside. I have heard you can treat it with hydrogen peroxide. I have 3 percent. What ratio of water to that would I use if I need to? Thanks Quote Link to comment
seabass
to Nano-Reef.com! I'm not sure about zoa pox in particular; but I've used a 1:1 ratio of 3% to saltwater as a dip for zoanthid frags. They are pretty tolerant of peroxide. Let them soak for a couple of minutes (using a turkey baster to blow between the polyps), then leave them in the air for a minute or so to further oxidize. Finally, rinse them in tank water before returning them. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
I treated zoa pox successfully with furan 2.... However are you sure they are zoas? Because pallys look similar and incorporate sand into their structure which some people mistake for zoa pox. Quote Link to comment

OPtasia
+1 to using Furan 2. I was able to cure an outbreak of zoa pox with Furan 2 on a small frag of Palythoa grandis. Use Than's treatment regimen from Tidal Gardens. Quote Link to comment
