Joevember
1st replacement coral is mounted. I got a strawberry shortcake acropora from my favorite sps dealer. I had to use a lot of glue to get it mounted because the clowns kept pushing it off 😤 I also moved the purple haze monti to the top because the place I had it wasn't getting nearly enough light. I got pictures of his tank because it just looks that amazing.  2 Quote Link to comment

Joevember
Just got an acan frag pack from a local seller. Don't know the names of any of them. Two of them have some yellow that I hope they show more of. Here is the other acan I bought recently. Â 3 Quote Link to comment

It's hard to see it well in the pic because it's closed, but it's a bright orange and jade green. The shop didn't have any good looking sps to put on the rock so I thought I'd get this anyway. And pics as promised 🤟 And a new progress update FTS Tank looks great. 😊 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Coinee
This is definitely a tank that will be worthy of TOTM when you get that empty spot situated. The torches are beautiful...if I could only get my torches to extend more, I probably just need a bit more flow. 1 Quote Link to comment

Joevember
So it's been 10 days since I've updated the journal, and I felt like I owed you guys some pics 😂 I got some very close ups so you can get to know my corals.   6 Quote Link to comment

The base has good polyp extension but it doesn't have any polyp extension in the branches. I think it'll be a nice showpiece after a few months. I'll try to get pics when I get the chance. Coinee
I'm not sure if you mentioned it earlier but what are you using to take pictures? A phone? They look pretty nice. Quote Link to comment

Wendy
I really like all the LPS you have in here, especially the acan garden (; 1 Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Went over to the LFS to pick up something for my pico, and I found this GIANT! This is the biggest nassarius snail I've ever seen. It's the same size as my freakin' clowns! I might have to spot feed him soon to keep him fat.  Unfortunately one of my torches got brown jelly yesterday and RTN'd all the way to its death when I got home today. I could tell it was sick before from tissue receeding upwards on the skeleton, but it was still extending well. My black/green torch is in a similar looking state currently. Now I have another empty space I gotta fill with more torches... 😑 Back on the hunt. Quote Link to comment

Joevember
Going to the store later, I'll try to pick up a digi. And they finally have a yellow clown goby in stock for only $7! I think I'll pick one up. 1 Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Well guess what I walked home with yesterday? If you read the previous post, you alreafy know. Here he is, my new clown goby, Meek Gills (keeping up the fish pun rapper name scheme). That was him yesterday, he only hid in the torches and was scared by the clowns. But today, he is sitting atop his trumpet coral throne. The clowns swim right up next to him and they don't mind each other's company. I was even able to feed him tonight with the clowns, but I had to use the turkey baster to feed. The other thing I got was a sweet ultra pink milleapora. 1st pic was it yesterday, 2nd is today under blues. I'm definitely going to reposition it soon because it doesn't look natural how I have it mounted. 1 Quote Link to comment

Joevember
Just came home to the black and green torch with brown jelly. It was a small portion of the coral, so there is a chance that the larger non-necrotic section will pull through. I got off all the necrotic tissue and put it in a coral RX dip for 5 minutes, followed by a 1:4 hydrogen peroxide dip. The dark green torches are closed up, so I think they might be infected. The only healthy looking ones are the large neon green ones and the gold torch (thank God).  I wish there was a less sensitive coral that I could put near the torches that could get along with them... ReeferBray
Ah no man I really hope you can beat this as this is a amazing tank bud keep Me Posted 1 Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Well the brown jelly has killed the green and black torch and has managed to spread to two of the dark green torches. So no the kill count is looking like 6 heads total. The gold and neon green torches look fine now. The base tissue is receeded, but extension and color look fine so at least I have that. Though I'm not confident that I'll have any torches by the end of this... 4 Quote Link to comment
ReeferBray
Damm such sad news really but I'm following alone always. Isn't there like a wat perhaps move the coral with brown jelly to other tank and try and treat them more Quote Link to comment

The parameters fluctuate much more and I don't dose. I wish I could have a quarentine system for times like this. 1 Quote Link to comment
