Was this a bad idea???HALLOWEEN HERMIT

Was it a bad idea that I added a Halloween hermit to my evo 13.5 tank? He is the only crab in the tank. I have a small few snails, 1 cleaner shrimp, and 1 citrinis clown goby plus some soft corals. I did put some empty shells in the tank. Here is a picture of the guy and an older picture of my tank layout.

Halloween hermits are very peaceful, IME. However, they do get larger than most "reef safe" hermits. Plus, they don't seem to take normal shells. Gonna need some conch type shells for it.

I find them quite peaceful. Mine is a model citizen and doesn't knock over anything. Ray's right though - you'll need some conch-type shells for it. They don't use the usual shells for some odd reason.

Very peaceful but can get big. They don't take average shells, they need conch shells.

Like everyone else said, they are good dudes......They don’t bother anything. Their bodies are very flat compared to other hermits, which is why they need conch shells.
