Muffin87
I got my frogspawn on Monday. Something was on my frogspawn today. I removed it by spraying the coral gently with a turkey baster, and a small piece of flesh came off. Got the stuff out of the tank with the turkey baster. Is this Brown jelly disease? The new aquaforest protect dip claims to reduce the risk of brown jelly disease. Should I get it? Thanks a lot, Quote Link to comment
Aurortpa
It could be...can you take a picture of the actual coral now? I’m not familiar with Aquaforest forest dip. I’d be willing to bet “helps reduce risk” is different than “cures” tho. 😐 If you really confirm it is brown jelly, you’ll have to act quickly and frag off the infected head carefully (granted you have multiple), dip, quarantine and hope for the best—brown jelly progresses fast and can be contagious. Do not risk all your LPS for one. Quote Link to comment
Muffin87
You can see the bit that got exposed after I took the jelly out. Quote Link to comment
