ProReefer
K, I have a Chocolate Chip Star fish in my tank who tried to eat my feather duster, do they normally do that? Link to comment
format32
If I am not mistaken choco starfish are some of the worst kind to have in a reef tank. I think they will eat more that your feather duster. Link to comment
revance
yes, they will eat almost any coral. They are definitely NOT reef safe. FYI: This is the case with many kinds of starfish. Link to comment
newpoon
Get a red starfish or a marble sea star instead. They are small and good for nano. Link to comment
ProReefer
dang, I guess I have to keep an eye on him then! He mainly stays on the glass! Link to comment
balla816
i had a chocolate chip starfish before i found out he wasnt reef safe and he ate my gsp......red sea stars arent very good for nano's either cuz they need alot of food and a well matured large tank(like mandarin gobys)......and if u cant supply that then they will fall apart.......literally..... djconn
What size tank is it in? Knowing what my star did and what most other stars do (knock stuff over, produce lots of waste, eat fish) I probably will never put one in my nanos again. Link to comment
