Aziaxi
I have a 10 gal nano tank and the ph keeps on dropping I think it is the top off water because I tested my top off water and it was 7 but luckily the ph did not drop much but how do you guys make your top off water for your guys tanks And this might be a bad idea considering what happen to the ph but my tank is done cycling and I was thinking of getting a clown on Sunday if I can solve the ph fast Quote Link to comment
A Little Blue
Plain RO water. Check your salinity, alkalinity and calcium. If you have those parameters in check, you don’t need to worry about PH. (PH changes during the day or night. Don’t chase it. It will drive you nuts.) 2 Quote Link to comment

So top off water is ok of it plain rodi 2 Quote Link to comment
A Little Blue
Plain distilled or RO water. Please don’t add salt or any PH raising solutions. There is nothing else to it. Make sure parameters I mentioned are in check. If you’re using refractometer, make sure that it is calibrated. If you’re not sure, take your water sample to your local fish store and ask them to check it for you. 2 Quote Link to comment
seabass
Top off water will not affect pH. It's pure water that is simply replacing evaporated water. 3 Quote Link to comment
Perthreefer
Are you testing at the same time every day? It is natural for PH to rise and fall on a daily basis. My PH ranges from around 7.85 to 8.3 daily. 1 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Ph is effected by photosynthesis so your readings will change. It's a fluctuating parameter. I wouldn't chase it. Focus on alk, it's a parameter that is really important 3 Quote Link to comment
