KW NANOREEF
Hi guys, I have a IM Lagoon 25 and am looking for a show fish in this tank. I have sereval corals. I also have - 1 Misbar Clownfish - 1 Canary Fang Blenny - 1 Lawnmower Blenny Let me know your thoughts! Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Might want to watch the blennies - as a rule, two blennies won't get along long-term. Have you considered a pygmy angel? 2 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
2 blennies together and 1 being venomous isn't advisable. 1 Quote Link to comment

We just had a post about a week ago about someone's Starry Blenny missing a chunk from its forehead after sustaining a possible bite/attack from a fang blenny in the same tank. I wouldn't do two blennies in a nano. In a large system upwards 120G+, it might be possible (provided there's a lot of rockwork and spaces for the blennies to hide), but in a smaller tank, two blennies which can max. out at 5" each would end in either a fight or death. You might need to rehome one (or transfer it to a different tank, if you have another system up and around). Quote Link to comment
KW NANOREEF
My experience with these guys together: a Lawnmower blenny is not a social fish and doesn’t swim around. The Fang Blenny in the other hand, is a open swimmer and doesn’t spend anytime hiding except at night when it sleeps in a little cove. I have not seen the Fang and Lawnmower even acknowledge each other since they have been in the tank. I will keep my eyes peeled for any aggressive behavior! 1 Quote Link to comment

Have you considered a pygmy angel? I have considered a Pygmy angel, but can’t find one locally or they are around $60 when I do. Soon I am going to have them order a cherub angel. Hopefully I can get it for around $30 instead! Quote Link to comment
Clown79
All my lawnmower blennies have been very social and open swimmers. Yours may not be due to the fact there is another blenny and one that packs a punch when it bites, in the tank. Quote Link to comment

Just spied this guy on LA. Looks like he gets a little larger than the other centropyge species though. Periodically some rare color varieties pop up there for $300+ 1 Quote Link to comment

specore
Just now, KW NANOREEF said: Agree but that would be 2 yellow fish in the tank. 😞 Honestly I would be pulling the trigger if he stayed under 3 inches like the other pygmy angels. A 5 inch angel is a little large for my tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
