Your photos are so clear and crisp.  Maybe I should use something besides a cell phone camera.  Seriously, your pics are the best!

Thanks so much! I take mine using my iPad Pro most of the time, sometimes my iPhone. 😊🤗 Can’t wait to try the ReefLens to see how it compares to the other two brands of clip ons I use.

Our little one is so dark you can’t even see her mouth.

I especially love black cats, by the way. In fact, my name Banasophia is my village name from when I was in the Peace Corps in Africa. Normally a woman’s name would be Bana_______, fill in the blank with the name of her first born child. Since I didn’t have a child, they used the name of my all black cat Sophia, and they always teased me that I treated her like a human child.

Guess what I ordered last night... a ReefLens... even more pics coming soon 😬😂

Pricey, but looks awesome, and I’ve been seeing people post some great photos on Instagram and Facebook. Thought about wishing for it for Valentines Day, but then I’d have to wait another two weeks 😜

Tank on Saturday (phosphates were 0.68) vs tonight, after dosing phosphate RX yesterday and bringing the phosphates down. It’s interesting to see which corals love high phosphates. (Nitrates typically run around 10, dosing NOPOX daily.)

Also, you can see the branching dendro/sun really got damaged... I moved it a couple times and had it out of the water too long when moving things around to squeeze in the new gorgonian, so the tissue on the branches is dying back... working on nursing it back to health.

Baby sun corals are taking over the tank - they are beautiful, but far more invasive in my tank than any of the other invasive corals I have stocked, including GSP, Kenya tree, and Xenia.

Thanks! My basic approach to feeding is that I feed a ton, and for a long time each night, which is probably why my suns are going nuts as they are haha. I sprinkle quite a bit of whole and crushed pellets on the surface, wait about 15-30 minutes, then when the sun corals are opened up I add some fresh hatched baby brine shrimp to the tank and/or spot feed the suns (and sometimes the RFAs) with a variety of frozen foods, wait 15-30 minutes, then swirl around the tank with the powerhead for another 30-60 minutes or so before turning the pump back on.

I did try try to cut back, but when I do that the suns stop opening up as nicely and I worry my mandarin won’t get enough to eat, so for now that’s what I’m doing.

Due to my excessive feeding, I run a skimmer and use NOPOX and Phosphate RX (along with water changes) to control my phosphates and nitrates.

Edit: Oh yeah, I also feed Phytoplankton and Zooplankton on an as needed basis depending on how my NPS gorgs, spider sponge, and chili coral are behaving... usually 3 times per week.

I should try to do a video of feeding the suns, that could be cool... they’re fun to feed. 🙂

Pretty much every day... but it’s not an exact science... I do vary it a bit based on how the corals are looking. I always feed the pellets nightly, and also the fresh hatched baby brine shrimp 3 nights per week... the part I vary is the frozen, and how much of it I use.

This is exactly what my babies are looking like so I feel like I can confidently say that's what they are now, thanks! I wonder how hard it will be to remove them to frag/sell at some point...

Yeah I tried to scrape a couple off with a dental tool, but it didn’t work... my rock is man made so I can’t really break it up... we’ll see what happens. Let’s see some pics of yours. 🙂
