Yay, tank seems much happier this morning after its 100% water change. The replaced return pump in the back had some nasty brown slime on it and there was an obvious funk coming from the back. Everything else was pretty routine, I've made way more salt water than I was expecting to in the first month hahah. With nothing being in the tank, I assume I'm ok to switch salt brands? (Instant ocean to Red Sea Coral Pro). I've got some Dr. Tims ammonia coming tomorrow so I can ensure the tank is setup to process 2ppm ammonia in a day - and I assume ill need / want to do a regular water change to further dilute the Nitrates yes? Give it a  ammonia test, and a stable week then a fish.

Again, thank you for the responses and help in here.

Ya back chambers can get nasty. They should be vacuumed every waterchange to every other waterchange.

Pumps can get dirty during a cycle.

Yes, you want 2ppm ammomia to process in 24hrs.
