The most importing thing buildwise for me is the clean apperance. The soon to be Nanobox will have the wiring hiding in the gooseneck Quote Link to comment

debbeach13
That is a very nice looking set up. You don't fool around. I certainly would not think you were a newbie if you hadn't said so. Welcome to NR. Do you have a decent fish store near you? Did you make a lot of the purchases on line? 2 Quote Link to comment
Nano Nano Boo Boo
The concrete top is amazingly done. Looking forward to following along. 1 Quote Link to comment

I have good friends that inspire and a thing for ”go big or go home” 🙂 i have one smaler store in my hometown. Just orderd saltwater there today! The tank and most of the other equipment i order online. from US i got the overflow from marindepot (custom white) and the soon to be lamp from Nanobox @DaveFason. Lamp is coming up in the next couple of weeks. I just need to rewire a couple of things. -Marcus 13 minutes ago, Nano Nano Boo Boo said: The concrete top is amazingly done. Pike
Waiting for some new lids in oak to go with my floor in the house. Then i will paint the goosenecks in brass. last step will be the hanging. I will let the two goosenecks come right out from the wall and hide all wires in the back room. To be continued 🙂 3 Quote Link to comment
Pike
Just about to collect 140 liter of saltwater and will fill the tanks tonight. i will be using live sand and dead stone. No extra bacteria, maybe just a shrimp later on to help the process a little. just hoping all my piping will hold. No expert there 🙂 Wish me luck! Pictures comes later on! Quote Link to comment

Pike
Hi My filling didnt go as plan. My overflow is leaking from beneath. anyone have experience with this model from modular marine? It is dripping from the outerbox from beneath so the issue is probably that water comes between the two boxes and travels down. anyone that have had the same problem? thank you! 1 Quote Link to comment
lpsouth1978
I don't see the gaskets inside the tank, they may be there i just dont see them. You need a gasket between the inner box and glass inside the tank, and between the bulkhead nut and outside box (which you have). 1 Quote Link to comment

Hi! thank you! there came these on the picture attatched to the innerbox. You think i need a other gasket as well? Quote Link to comment
lpsouth1978
It looks like those are just plastic bulkheads of some sort. If they are rubbery, they may be all that is required, but if they are plastic (as they look to be) you need a gasket between those and the tank glass. 2 Quote Link to comment

lpsouth1978
You will want a bulkhead gasket. You can search for "aquarium bulkhead gasket" on Amazon and it will bring up a number of options. just be sure to get the appropriate size for whatever bulkhead is on the overflow box. You might even contact Modular Marine and see if they can send you some. 2 Quote Link to comment
