EvilFish
Hi, I tried Eheim Compact 1000, fits well, great flow but heats the tank too much. Stock pump is silent and doesn't heat the tank that much, but really weak. Is there any other good pump for this tank? To improve the flow and reduce heat. Others pumps that can works: Cobalt Aquatics MJ1200 - 295 GPH Sicce Syncra Silent 1.0 - 251 GPH Cobalt Aquatics E-X-T Inline - 210 GPH Hydor Centrifugal 300 GPH Somebody tried on of those pumps or something else? Thanks Quote Link to comment

nsousa
If your concerned about the heat from your eheim that pushes 15w of power so does the mightyjet aio pump. You will still have those heat issue. Best to confirm if it will fit but the mightyjet is 3.7" long. I'm not sure but I don't think it will fit. Either way of you get it and it fit give us a review. If your worried about heat I dont think this the pump for you. Quote Link to comment

EvilFish
Tried Cobalt MJ900, fits (not perfectly, but fits), silent, much stronger and do not overheat the tank. 230GPH is nice for this tank. Quote Link to comment
ZackAttack
I use the Hydor Centrifugal 300 GPH and it has worked well. The only thing I will caution you about it is that if you use the stock hose, the pump will not sit on the bottom of the tank. It's about an inch short. Quote Link to comment
Jackiechan9091
The mighty jet will work great! It will fit with slight modifications. 1. I trimmed off 1/8” from the intake. 2. I notched the 2 top quarters of the inlet 3. I notched the area for where the wire comes out so it could be folded under 4.i notched out an area in the sump chamber large enough for inlet. 5. added random wave generator to outlet in tank if you do this you will have a super powerful pump, with no need for extra power heads Quote Link to comment
