Has anyone used this LED light fixture and do you think it would be alright for corals?

I'll be putting it on a Standard 5 Gallon Aquarium 16" x 8" x 10"

The light is not suited to corals in any way.

It's about spectrum and par levels and this light has neither.

Its could be used for low light planted, small refugium, or fish only.

If you are looking for a cheap light that will work.

Abi par38 12 watt or 24 watt

I feel like you would have a better chance with a Aqua Knight light or a DIY light honestly. It's always better to not skimp on lighting because it will cause you nothing but problems: not enough light, pale coral or even dead corals.

For a 5g tank you could build something yourself even with no diy skills for about $100. You may as well and spend a little bit one time on a light instead of spending money numerous times trying to find something cheap that will just cause you to spend more money and problems in the end.

StevesLeds 7up board and slim heatsink $50 shipped,RapidLed 36v dimmable Driver $45 or so shipped and a few bucks in hanging material and wire and you are good to go.

If you have any doubts on the light, check this link out https://reefbuilders.com/2017/11/28/amazing-floating-nano-reef/# . Minus the 3 extra leds the person suspended from the light you can see its capable of keeping sps colored and alive.

I'm sorry but I have been using the aquamaxx for over 3 yrs successfully. On a 10g them on a 5.5g

The hipargero is another light that is also becoming popular.

Just because it's not a name brand for $500 does not mean it will not work.

What did I say to make you think think I was saying the poster needed a $500 light ? I was reffering to a $60 light that I would personally use myself.

I deleted this because I miss read. My apologies. I'm not sure why it was posted.

I completely agree. That light would not be very efficient. Maybe on a jar but that's about it.
