xthunt
I’ve got the IM MicroMag. Strong magnet and gets edges pretty good. I don’t keep magnets in the water, so don’t know about long term waterproof-ness. I’d buy again. 1 Quote Link to comment
SeaFurn
Normally use Red Sea black bucket but for that price I’m gonna try the blue. Probably not a big deal in my case since my tank is FOWLWRFA! 😂 Quote Link to comment

A Little Blue
2 completely different salts. Quote Link to comment
AquaVaj
The salt is half off reg price but if you're fine with IO reef crystals then a 50g mix has a reg price of just $1 more. I did however pick up a bucket myself and a few other supplies. Quote Link to comment

You can mix both over first few WC to make a smooth transition. Quote Link to comment

If it is and you don't have nutrient issues I would just wait for the levels to drop/ be consumed by coral until they more closely match that of blue bucket then do normal water changes.. A Little Blue
Depending on tank size, Ca/Alk consumption and WC frequency, Blue RS might work for you. But I would go with Pro if you're not dosing. Quote Link to comment

Well then, Blue might work for you in that case. Good salt and hard to beat at clearance price. 1 Quote Link to comment

Yeah, I started with black bucket in my first tank which had more coral and i wanted the higher levels. Given this one’s just fish and RFAs and a few frags I think things will go smoothly. 2 Quote Link to comment

I wouldn't think that normal 10 to 15% weekly water changes would cause any problems. However, I'd try to avoid large changes for awhile. 1 Quote Link to comment
MainelyReefer
If anyone else has a deep tank like my IM40 these grabbers have saved a few corals that fell between the back wall/rockwork and come in handy for most rescue missions/ general maintanence. I just ordered two spares and I think it will cost them more to ship them than I paid for them. https://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=12755 Quote Link to comment
shoonjai
And this is why I love/hate this place...just picked up a couple buckets of that salt as well as an aqua gadget reservoir and some misc test kits and food. Did I need any of it? Who knows... 😂 Quote Link to comment
