I think not on Flat Worm.

Did you dip/treat coral before putting in tank?  If not, I would remove coral and vacume sand in area where LPS was.  Hyposaline is one general purpose treatment best known for treating ich.

I have Red Planaria, one type of flat worm, in my 25 year old 75G tank.  They are keep under control with a large Melanarious Wrasse.

I can't tell what it is. It's too blurry.

Try taking a pic with a macro setting focused on it.

Did you dip the coral before adding it to your tank?

Try

Melevsreef.com

Theres a critter id page on there.

Some flatworms are a problem, some aren't. Problematic ones need flatworm exit treatment.

If its ich- not sure you would even see the cysts and ich is only visible for a few days of its life cycle.

Your tank would have the parasite in the tank and only method of killing it, is providing no fish host.

Ich will not harm corals or inverts. It is a fish parasite.

You can do a quick freshwater dip(rodi or distilled) 1 minute will drop whatevers on the coral right off it.

I didnt dip coral before add into the tank. Because ım afraid with this operation, maybe coral can die ...

also i havent got any item for dipping..

maybe i can use Ro water.

About 7-8 creature stable number. But they are moving when new day starts.

Now i think best way is waiting. Maybe that is a natural process.

Thank you 🙂

i havent got a wrasse. I got only a percula. Maybe i decide to not adding new fish, i can buy a sixline. But after sixline wrasse , adding new fish is very hard  It can easiliy disturb others 😕

@Berkay

Think about your first sentence.   For long range health of your system you should control what comes in,    yet you did nothing to quarantine or sanitize what comes in your system.   A fresh water dip for one minute would have been a good proactive measure.  Coral is more resilient than you give it credit for:  “maybe it will die”.  Quite possible your whole tank could die with the wrong thing introduced.

Not knowing anything else about your system or your experience level, at this time, I suggest you do nothing and hope for the best.  In the future, you should have a quarantine tank set up to prevent a serious problem.  You don’t have a serious problem with this coral.

Well altho we can try to replicate natural, our tanks are NOT natural.  The myriad of variables that could restore a maybe half way healthy coral with an infestation MIGHT occur in the wild but probably NOT in your typical home aquarium.  If it isn't just busted polyps and you see these little  like things moving location around the coral, it needs treatment.  Otherwise like @Subsea said you risk all you corals dying now.

I have always dipped and bathed my corals, even SPS, and I haven't lost any to the procedure.

If dips killed corals, the products wouldn't be on the market.

If dips were harmful, why would the majority of us with reef tanks not only dip but recommend it?

From the last pick, those are a flatworm. You will need to look up what kind they are because there are many kinds of planaria.

Almost certainly flatties. They resemble ghost flatworms, which are harmless, but nature has supplied the predators with the ability to mimic harmless species, so the jury's out on this one. I'd dip it and QT, and hope the rest of the tank doesn't become infested. All you can do is keep a sharp lookout for the next few weeks to see if it is. Do some research as Clown suggested.

Firstly thank you.

Thats only lps on the tank. And i got zoa only.

In this phase should i dip with Ro water ?

Can it smart step for this ghost flatworm ?

What can i do ?

I will take coral slowly and give it some time for close. After i put in it a bucket filled with water ? About 50-60 sec  ?

Is it true ?

At the markets lots of materials and substances available. But ıf you try to buy everything and use it in a Nano ,

you can easily got some problems. So a time ago, i started to not looking chemical products parta at the local fish srore 🙂

and with this step , i am more succesful i think. Only i got a flatworm , its not spreading ...

should i wait or go on with Ro and a bucket ?

@Berkay

In the last sentence of your last post, you said, “I only have a flat worm, it’s not spreading.”  Please be realistic.  It survived the transition into your tank and it’s in an ideal environment to grow.  How can you possible say, “it’s not spreading”.

Invest five  minutes of your time and immerse the coral for 1 minute in fresh water with no chemicals.  You do not have to go to the store.

JUST DO IT.

He needs to do real research.

This isn't the first time he's had issues.
