I’m noticing some browning or algae growth on my monti. It’s been there since squirted a little reef roids on it. Any thoughts?

Its really hard to tell from that pic.

Food can actually burn Corals on occasion if directly applied to the skin.

Just curious, how much reef roids did you use and what did you mix it with? Also did you feed it with the pumps off, and if so how long did you leave them off?

I use a tiny speck of a teaspoon. Mixed with tank water. I turned off the fans but left them off for three hours on accident cause i forgot. .

Was it refrigerated? Was it cold maybe?

Mmm then I’d be patient, watch it carefully, and make sure it doesn’t further deteriorate. I wouldn’t change location but would definitely give it a bit more flow.

Looks like that was just the beginning. GHA outbreak! Been dealing with this lovely issue lately. Added some phosguard and a new chemipure elite.
