AquaVaj
This was a tank I had made about 2 years ago that I was going to start up but the plan fell through as life and other things got in the way. AquaVaj
The stand came pretty bare so I added a back wall, middle and top shelf with 1/2 plywood. The stand sat only 30" high and I wanted the tank higher up to about eye level when standing so I made a little riser with 2x8's and topped with plywood. All painted white and topped with clear epoxy while top was spray painted flat black. The bare wood on the riser I plan to use contact paper with a faux stone design or something along the line. Not sure yet. 1 Quote Link to comment
AquaVaj
DIY media baskets made from 1/4" acrylic and black egg crate. Top stage is sponge, filter floss, and activated filter pad. Second is ceramic rings and bottom is activated carbon. I'll switch the carbon out every now and then for Chemipure Blue. Quote Link to comment
AquaVaj
Pictures are as of 6/27/18. Still need to tidy up the cables some more. Ammonia and Nitrite are at 0 but Nitrates are sky high so I'm going to do small water changes the next few days to get it down. Once I get this under control my cycle will be complete and the tank ready for fish and corals. 1 Quote Link to comment

Orangutran
Really nice build! I like the scape, and never knew this metal stand existed! Any updates? Btw, I know what you mean about life getting in the way of our hobby. It took me 2 years as well to fill my tank with water. Quote Link to comment
AquaVaj
I'm actually in the process of upgrading to a 120g and will be breaking this one down. Just wasn't happy with the size so it didn't take much to make me make that jump. Quote Link to comment
