Utahpico
Tore down my 3.7g reef and replaced it with a 5.5g ada "mini m" low iron glass tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
Found a thin no slip drawer liner to place under the tank. Worked great! Went with white and didn't paint the back glass black as I always do. I want the edges to be as transparent as possible. 2 Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
I have a 6lbs piece of marco rock, all the extra pieces are from the old setup. Needed that bio filtration to keep everything happy. It will be coming out soon one piece at a time. 2 Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
Only new coral addition ive added to the tank in the last year. FROGSPAWN!! I've gone from being obsessed with zoas to wanting more of a euphillia dominated tank. 2 Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
So, now I understand why my hammer has gotten so big in the last year, cause it has 3 heads now. I've never seen it closed up like that, I really pissed it off gluing to to it's new spot in the ada. Went from a nickle size to about the size of a kiwi 3 Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
Just as I was thinking wire loom would really make this look good, I saw a piece hanging from under my truck for no reason. So how I don't have to buy a piece, worked out great and adds a nice finishes clean look. My goal is to have the most amazing and clean pico reef 4 Quote Link to comment

Utahpico
Just about 24hrs and already looking happy. Sexy shrimp is starting to move around, and royal gramma came out to eat. Fyi my tank has a lot of water flow, its intense so I can understand it taking a few days for them to get comfortable. 1 Quote Link to comment
MrsK
I like your set up, very clean looking. Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
I do t understand the blue light, I get the white is mostly for human viewing, but I couldn't leave my tank all blue, it's so unnatural, I've spent a lot of time in the ocean collecting my own corals for years, and that's what I'm shooting for, I want my corals to look how they do in nature, I've never seen a zoanthid in the wild with a 2" stalk reaching for the light. Or a plump fat polyp, it just doesn't appeal to me. I know a lot of people like it that way, "to each his own." Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
Oh no! Sexy died, weird I acclimated it properly I guess that's why you should do your research before buying a $9 shrimp 1 Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
I do t think I'm that lucky, I think the tank was too new, it was only setup 2 days before I added it in. "My bad!" Quote Link to comment
el_ote
What are the nitrates or ammonia at? I'da thought the corals would show stress before a shrimp. Quote Link to comment
Utahpico
I don't water test. I'll wait a month then buy a couple new invert's. Quote Link to comment
