Phill2222
I got a small frag of pulsing Xenia today and it has not done much pulsing I am wondering if it is in a bad area or if it is something else my parameters are good. Another thing on the back wall of my tank there are small white objects that I do not know what they are they are on there pretty well. Quote Link to comment
jamescstein
don't do xenia myself, pulsing or not. White spirals are spirorbis worms. http://www.melevsreef.com/critter/spirorbid-worms 1 Quote Link to comment
Subsea
At day one you should not be concerned. Xenia don’t like to be moved. Quote Link to comment
Subsea
I think that Xenia is the bomb. I once had a a 5’ long tank ar 20” high with the complete back wall covered in Red Sea Pulsing Xenia. In reviewing your topics, I saw your thread on using iodine as a disinfectant. Oddly enough, Xenia need iodine. All crustaceans need iodine, as well as all macro, especially the red macros. 1 Quote Link to comment

I love my corals I have no clue on dosing, I spent all my cash on those pulsing Xenia, (got ripped off) but I’m a sucker, always wanted those guys since I started my tank. Quote Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
Try adjusting your temp to 76-78 degrees. I don't know what your temp is now, but Xenia won't pulse if too warm. They also seem to like higher nutrient levels, so if your tank is too new they might be unhappy. 1 Quote Link to comment

You're good with weekly water changes, based on what inhabitants you have now. 1 Quote Link to comment

Water changes supplement major & minor trace elements. Neither Xenia or leathers like to be moved. Excercise some patience and let the coral adjust on its own. Your Xenia has already had one big change moving to your tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
