samnaz
pic heavy? pshhh. not pic heavy enough for my liking anyway, let's see/hear more. really dig the rockscape. did you create those unique shapes yourself or did they come already sculpted? they look handmade but natural. Quote Link to comment
burrito
Under cabinet , need to setup my doser now. I added intank skimmer covers. Probably added 2-3 gallons of water and a more pleasing waterline. Might take some backout. Worries about a rouge wave overflowing. Does anyone know what the algae/Brown tufts are coming out of the cap? Bought from a local reefer. Probably about 4-5 little patches. Can I get something to eat it? Pull it off? Scrape it? The rest of the cap looks good with polyp extension. Seen further above. 1 Quote Link to comment
A Little Blue
If your CUC won’t touch it, you can try peroxide dip. 4:1 ratio - 1 part of 3% H2O2 to 4 parts of tank water for 5 minutes. But you can try to dip for few minutes first (I don’t want to be responsible for that frag 😎) Shake it around a bit while in dipping solution. Repeat if it comes back. I would also rinse frag in clean tank water b4 putting it back in the tank. Quote Link to comment
A Little Blue
Can you take pics of InTank skimmer covers and how high water line is. I was thinking about it but figure that I can DIY something similar without raising water level too much. All I need is an extra 1/2”-2/3” added volume in DT. Quote Link to comment
samnaz
blast the monti with a turkey baster once a day or so, until it's all gone. if that doesn't work, very gently brush the algae off with a soft toothbrush. Quote Link to comment

The waterline is currently about 1/4 from the top. I had to move the screen top clips up a little so it doesn’t sit in the water. I’ll get More daytime pics if you’d like tomorrow. 1 Quote Link to comment
burrito
On another note. I bought seachem matrix carbon and phosgard to go with the IM reactor. What’s a logical sequence to fill it? And tumbling or sandwiched btw sponges. Also, how long should it last? Quote Link to comment
spectra
Looks good I had a IM30 and loved that tank............its a nice footprint. Quote Link to comment
A Little Blue
Thanks for the pics. That water line 1/4” from the rim scares me a little. I think you need to keep an eye on it. Dirty floss or other obstruction in the flow might end up badly. Quote Link to comment

You can probably mix both and use it that way. I would use smaller amount and replace both more often. Say once a month. Quote Link to comment

burrito
anyone have advice on how to remove xenia from this rock? i will either throw it out, or attach it to a frag plug i guess, I'm concerned they are bothering the purple bonsai and also dont want them to spread. Quote Link to comment

Zuma
Great looking tank! Really like the IM Fusion 30. Just curious how long you cycled the tank before adding your first corals? Quote Link to comment
burrito
i waited about 3 weeks after the cycle was finished. probably could have waited one more since some diatoms blasted everything but they are gone now and all looks good Quote Link to comment
Zuma
Nice, I'm right at the three week mark with my IM 20 and itching to add some macro life. Quote Link to comment

burrito
Frogs and hammers can be next to each other right? Just no torches. I need to figure out how I want my corals decided now. Get them off the ugly plugs too. Quote Link to comment
