Jellyingabout
I'm wanting to find red mangrove seeds not propagules as i prefer the look of the mature plants when grown from seeds, but i've never seen them for sale anywhere ever. And no ammount of googling has helped. Are they just not somethiing comercially sold? Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
They do indeed seem scarce, looks like most people want to plant the propagules for easy rooting. Are mangrove seeds able to grow separate from the parent without a propagule shoot already formed? Quote Link to comment
Jellyingabout
Aparently so, and i've seen a few plants grown from them at shows, aparently they just grow slower at first which is understandable. But slower growing is ideal for a pico tank and their plant structure is so much cooler. Quote Link to comment
Pod Your Reef
I have a bunch that around around 14-16 inches. https://www.podyourreef.com/products/red-mangrove-propagule-rhizophora-mangle 1 Quote Link to comment
Lypto
What species are you looking for? Red mangroves use propagules to reproduce, the little seed looking fruit is like an egg yok for the developing propagule. 1 Quote Link to comment
