SXReefer
Materials used: 1/2 micro bulkhead Vinyl tubing i.d. 5/8", o.d. 7/8" stock fluval evo 13.5 pump Question: how can I fit the pump to the tubing? The pump outlet is too small? Quote Link to comment
ajmckay
What size is the output of the pump? Maybe 1/4" or 3/8"? Get a short length of 5/8" OD x 1/4" ID (or 3/8" ID) and shove that onto the pump output nozzle. Use the same vinyl material if you can. Then put the larger tubing on it and use a few zip ties (or better yet actual hose clamps) to hold it together. If the connections are tough stick the tubing ends into some hot water for a moment. Is there no way I can go to Home Depot and replace the original output nozzle with a 1/2 inch nozzle (if it exists) so the tube can just go on? Quote Link to comment

There absolutely is a way. You get into a car and drive there. Then you go to the fittings section and look at what they have. I'm assuming to this point your pump has a removeable nozzle (can't tell in the pic). I'm 95% sure home depot won't carry what you're looking for. At which point you could move to the next aisle over and buy a small amount of the appropriate tubing to size it down. Quote Link to comment

I think I'll just do that then. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
