arifturzo Posted March 1, 2018 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Hello- I have an established tank and ordered the Algaebarn's ultimate refugium starter pack, which contains a turbo start. Is it OK to use turbo start in an established tank but or I need to use fritz zyme 9. I have 2 clowns and some inverts in the tank. Quote Link to comment
seabass Posted March 2, 2018 Share Posted March 2, 2018 I believe that Turbo Start is just nitrifying bacteria. While probably unnecessary for an established tank, I don't believe it should cause any problems (as long as it's fresh and you use it as directed). You can monitor for ammonia, just in case.
