Aquacrazed
Wondering if anyone could identify the two growths circled in red. I notice that since these two showed up the polyps around it don't open up. They both seem to have hard shells (even the green one). Quote Link to comment
sublunary
The neon green thing is a sponge. I used to have several just like it. They seemed pretty hardy. Im not sure what else you are asking about. Can you post a closer picture? Quote Link to comment
Aquacrazed
Thanks sublunary, will this sponge kill my paly? The polyps around it don't seem to open at all. Here is a closeup (sorry, I don't seem to be able to get a clearer shot): Quote Link to comment
sublunary
It's probably irritating them being that close. It could conceivably grow over polyps, but I don't think it would grow fast enough to swallow the whole frag or anything. Mine never got more than nickel sized over the year or so I had them and they weren't close to any polyps. Quote Link to comment
Aquacrazed
Should I remove both of them? I don't necessarily like them but what's worse is it's preventing the paly polyps from opening up. Quote Link to comment
Aquacrazed
Removed the sponge, the other one seems to be an empty shell, not sure how it go there and the pally has grown around it so I just left it there. Quote Link to comment
