It's probably fine since you can dial it down but since we haven't tested the pump ourselves yet we are reluctant to give it a full endorsement (10 gallons is below the manufacturer's 20--50+ gallons recommendation). We'll feel more confident in providing a recommendation once we've had some hands-on time with it and as user testimonials begin to pop up in product reviews and on forums like Nano-Reef.
