BioCube 32 media basket

I am planning to modify my BioCube 32 middle section to a refugeum. Couple of questions.

1. Do the default media busker work or do I need to buy the fuge basket and media basket?

2. I am planning to add some macro algae  and Marin pure ceramic cubes. The question is after setting up all this where should I put my corallife filter?

I have an In-Tank media basket in my second chamber and run chaeto next to it. I don't use the fuse basket and have no problems, although it would be easier for removal and cleaning to have the 2nd basket.

1. Yes, the stock media basket works just fine and as Pjanssen mentions, it can make it easier to take your chaeto out

2. I put mine to the right compartment with my heater.

 

Getting to the center media tray, I also put filter floss in the top tray above my chaeto. And the chateo is above my marine pure ceramic cubes. Although, I am not using filter floss right now as I just put copepods in there. Been meaning to add that back in there, but probably will once I add fish (just cycled)
