helexia23
I have a 1 month old 16 gallon tank and a week or so ago I bought two Firefish that were doing really really well. About three days ago I bought a clarkii clownfish. Ever since, the Firefish never ever come out from behind the rocks. I feed them and they peak their heads out a little bit, but basically they hide all day from the clownfish. The clownfish does not appear aggressive, and seems to have no interest in the fire fish. Is this something that normally takes a couple weeks for fish to become acclimated towards one another, or are my nice Firefish destined to hiding forever? Quote Link to comment
Prophoss
My first instinct says just wait. Fire fish are shy and would rather be by themselves. Give'em time to come around to their new tank mate. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Firefish are shy and passive, the clown is an aggressive fish. The clarkii gets to 6" and will become more aggressive as it gets more territorial. Most likely, the firefish just need time but I would monitor them all together. 1 Quote Link to comment
