It was previously setup at my old house and suffered a crash when we went away and of course a GFI tripped and the tank crashed.

I have been planning and buying equipment for a large scale build. That build is still a ways off and I could not wait any longer.

This tank will have tons of Zoas and I am going to give SPS a try. The tank will be setup with a two island scape.

Don’t mind the crappy photo and the sand storm going on it there. I am loving the left side island but I am not so sure about the right side. This tank is in the basement ManCave area along with a few vivariums.

The tank is currently cycling using Dr Tims one and only. This is my first time using this product.

Hit it a little snag today I had previously purchased the light used and the seller gave me a good deal because he told me he lost the power converter for the fans. I recently ordered a new plug and low and behold 1 out of 3 fans work.

Looks like now I’ll b ordering replacement fans1344B7BD-F275-4E89-81A9-6C6DD59E723F.gif.f97e967432ed4e72769fdffd1dadf33e.gif

I am very surprised at how quite my new skimmer is. This is my first Eshopps skimmer. The skimmer looks amazing and performs even better. The skimmer is almost dead silent. I didn’t realize that the skimmer was purple until I opened was the box. Not my first color choice but I have to say it is growing on me because it is so different.

So for the build I have decided that this tank will be an anemone only tank. BTA, Maxi Mini, and Rock flowers. I decided to go this route because I have always been drawn to anemones. I am planning on fill this tank full of them so when I build my second tank I won’t be tempted to put any anemones in. Wishful thinking.

I have a pair of marron clownfish. A lightening and a gold stripe with a broken pattern. Attempting to pair this up now919A050E-F69E-41F5-B4FD-330D96815B63.thumb.jpeg.d77f84b1a4bdde14958c1ba5e4a792f7.jpegC92CE71A-D198-40DA-AC69-30875CB91A79.thumb.jpeg.0d2ca722c9575e7009383b59dd1043fa.jpeg

Today I picked up a Jolly Rancher rainbow

a regular rainbow

a slightly fadded Black widow, another nem was blocking the light. Have to love discount price.

and a no name that I would best describe as a black widow mixed with a rainbow. I took this quick pic before we bagged up the nems. I’ll have more shots once they have settled in

How's the skimmer working out for you?  Still liking it?  Thinking about getting one for my new tank.

I do like the skimmer super quite pulling out decent skimmate but not much in the tank so I expect more as the bioload goes up.

Easy adjustments by using the gate on the or by adjusting the silencer

So a has been going on with the tank.

took the MP40QD off of the tank just way to much linear flow blasting everything in the tank. I put a pair of Maxspec 230 on the tank. Great flow throughout the tank. The pair of clowns I was trying to pair was a no go. I think they may have been a little to close in size.

So so in place of the clowns I decided to go with my favorite type of fish wrasses.

Right now the tank list includes

Christmas Wrasse

Solar Wrasse

Noako Wrasse.

Took my son to the Frag Farmers Market show in CT over the past weekend. So crowded and everyone was packed in. I know I planned on running a nems only tank but my little guy loved an Aussie gold torch and a green and pink frogspawn.

So this tank has taken somewhat of a change for the stocking plans. My 5 year old son is as into reefing as I am. He has been loving LPS corals. So I am going to be switching the plan to a heavy LPS with lots of Euphlia, acans, scoly, and chalices.
