GenericReefer
I have a 10 gallon drilled tank I'm going to use as a refugium, and I plan to put some chaeto and pods in it, maybe some biomedia. I need to find a light to grow the chaeto with, but as my budget is pretty thin, I'm looking at using these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Light-Led-Bulb-Par38-Daylight-Flood-Equivalent-100W-In-Outdoor-2-Pack/162823226039?epid=1773786470&hash=item25e90542b7:g:c-kAAOSw0A9aRACH Got any other suggestions? pntbll687
I use a finnex to light my fuge. Works pretty well. I cut my chaeto every two weeks or so. The chaeto doesn't grow insanely fast, but it is super dark and very dense. Check out brstv on YouTube, they did a when series on chaeto lights. I would save up and get a light that is programmable and such. You would be able to control spectrum way better, and make life easier in the long run. At least that's what I'm doing. https://premiumaquatics.com/products/finnex-10-fugeray-aquarium-led-light.html?gclid=CjwKCAiApo3SBRA4EiwAty8i-m7N6trmH2FqqQnI78CUlrMC9b64yiNJvrUzekAw6bqaY2EoKCkXMxoCWLAQAvD_BwE 1 Quote Link to comment
Tmr8188
That Finnex is a great fuge light. You should have a freshwater group near you where someone is selling one for a steal. Quote Link to comment
OPtasia
I use a magnafuge light. If you have a budget, consider just a cheap warm white LED in a simple mogul based light fixture. Quote Link to comment
GenericReefer
I'm still looking at a par or hanging light, because I'd like to add some mangroves. Quote Link to comment
