Azure Phoenix Reefing
Great to see the tank is back up again, with some good looking corals. I'm on the brink of buying a Waterbox 20 gallon as well, so I'm looking forward to see how your waterbox evolves! 1 Quote Link to comment
That dank Reefer
Welcome to the team! Definitely tagging along I also run a 20g waterbox. Love it so far, running a skimmer an soon a media reactor just need to plumb it. Can’t beat the price of the tank. 1 Quote Link to comment

knd107
Hey, Just water testing my 20G Waterbox now, did you end up doing any modifications? Quote Link to comment

I have chaeto with a submersible light with pods in chamber one. Chamber 2 still has the bioballs but I wash with each water change (a lot of people don’t like these) in addition to carbon, chemipure, filter floss. Chamber 3 has a heater and air bubbler. Otherwise I have a wavemaker and A80 Kessil light and ATO in the main chamber. Quote Link to comment
That dank Reefer
I went mostly mechanical with the media reactor an skimmer, both are running out of the the middle chamber. I’m using the new ice cap nano skimmer... works well tight fit but they all are. Quote Link to comment
JurisReefer
Awesome build! Glad to see things are back on track. Two questions I wanted to ask since I'm expecting a cube 20 this week. 1. What stand/cabinet is that? 2. You mentioned the Ice Cap skimmer, which I was considering so I'm glad to see it fits, but which reactor did you get/would you recommend it? 1 Quote Link to comment

I’d definitely recommend the brs media reactor it works perfectly. The skimmer I’m not sure about, it started out great got some nasty skim. Currently I can’t get it dialed in to save my life, just seems impossible. I’m adding a ato soon, hopefully that helps keep the water level constant. If I can’t get it right after that I may quit using it bc it’s that ineffective right now. Quote Link to comment

blizzardscout2
I like your selection of corals, lots of great color too. Most people don't like the bio balls because they tend to trap detritus which can negatively affect your water parameters, think increased phosphates and nitrates. The purpose of them is for increased surface area for bacteria to culture, however there are better alternatives out there with substantially more surface area that can could easily be moved or removed for maintenance than bio balls. As long as you keep up with maintenance of the detritus that could be accumulated around them, then it shouldn't become an issue. That Wyoming white clown is awesome by the way. Quote Link to comment

DaVinciClown
Upgraded from A80 to AI prime. Some corals are still adjusting 🙂 Also some additions! 2 Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Wow @DaVinciClown your nano reef is really starting to fill in! What's that new acropora mounted on the top back wall? Have you taken any special steps to acclimate all your coral to the new AI Prime lighting? Quote Link to comment
DaVinciClown
Thanks @Christopher Marks!! The sps was aquacultured and seemed to be growing well at LFS - not sure what it is, but hope it’s happy in the tank. Here are the AI settings I chose, mostly based off aesthetics and similar to the settings used at LFS. 1 Quote Link to comment

Joeleace510
Great tank! What was reason for light change to AI Prime? I’m thinking about going Kessil A80 for my waterbox cube 15 but unsure if it would be good for BTA specific tank. Quote Link to comment
