Algae Scrubber too noisy, design advice?

So I built a small tank, the display outflow leads to the scrubber (which is removable) and it is a bit loud. Does anyone have any suggestions on shutting it up? lol. Flow rate of 160 gph between 2 3/4" unrestricted bulkhead fittings with 3/4" loc-line ending in 90° loc-line that top feeds into a modified 1.25" pvc tube that contains the scrubber.
