Andreww
In an effort to make this tank look cleaner and hide all the unnecessary stuff, I moved the MP10 on the rear glass on the side where I have and will put more SPS. The other side has the return lily pipe that provides a gentle flow for the nems and ricordea/fungia/acan. I love this. Sides are clean and unobstructed. Flow seems to be going in all the right places and had to tone it down pretty good to make sure I’m not blowing sand all over. 2 Quote Link to comment

Moved the light mount on the back wall instead of side glass like it used to be. I wasn’t comfortable with it on a 6mm glass...and the new diffuser adds a bit of weight as well. Very slick!! Andreww
Thank you! Im really digging the clean side look where MP10 used to be. 3 Quote Link to comment
Andreww
More chaeto, caleurpa and gracilaria. New light bulb as well. Gracilaria test piece in the display as well...We’ll see how all this will grow, if I don’t have any luck, I’m pulling out the refugium and installing a big skimmer in there . (ATB nano one). 2 Quote Link to comment

It's been awhile since I've looked at acros though lol. 1 Quote Link to comment
Andreww
Moved the MP10 back on its original place. Too bad because it looked kinda stealthy back there but had to run it on low and overnight it moved a lot of sand from the front to back. FTS with new manual camera app for iOS. Thanks @kinetic for camera app and post processing app recommendation , seems to work decent with RAW and priime app?? 4 Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Great shot @Andreww, much better white balance and dynamic range! That's too bad the MP10 placement didn't work out, but it's still such a clean system design even with it at the side! 1 Quote Link to comment
Andreww
Thanks Chris. Really enjoying this tank. Now if only I can keep SPS, LPS, softies and anemones happy then it’s all good...Tall order but we’ll see... Quote Link to comment
Andreww
Hoping by next week to have the wall behind the tank painted a navy color, possibly metallic finish. Will have to see what I can come up with to make the tank pop even more Quote Link to comment
Andreww
Red gracilaria full of micro air bubbles. Is this some kind of gas exchange, like plants breathing , taking in CO2 and releasing oxygen? Its all over the chaeto too. Sorry for the obnoxious red tint. This bulb is super red. Bubbles often mean the macro is photosynthesizing. 1 Quote Link to comment
xiaoxiy
We see the bubbling a lot in the planted world due to oxygen saturation! 1 Quote Link to comment

That’s what I thought ...I used to run CO2 on my planted tank before getting into saltwater and in the evening when the water would have been saturated with CO2, lots of “pearling” going on in the tank. Ive never seen it on macro algae though. Good deal then! Quote Link to comment
Andreww
So what exactly is driving this type of sponge to grow like crazy all of a sudden? It’s taking over this rock and the back of the rock has some 6” long ones swaying in the current. 1 Quote Link to comment
Andreww
Seems like gracilaria macro is growing well in my refugium as well as the display so I decided to glue a few more pieces on top of the white rock at the surface . The rainbow anemone is in that area and growing more and more and looks like the macro algae is immune to the stinging so that’s a plus. Ive noticed the piece I put a week or so ago in the display has become bushier, so a full gracilaria forest up top I believe it will look awesome and just trim when it grows too big. What do you guys think? Quote Link to comment

Andreww
This acro is pretty happy , starting to change color to a more vibrant green/teal in spots. We’ll see what it’ll be in the end. Sorry for the poor photo, had to zoom in quite a bit... 1 Quote Link to comment
