Glad to be sharing my humble tank with you guys.

My tank has been set up for 2 years now..it’s had its ups and downs in the first year but after that it stabilized itself.

As of late, I drilled the tank and installed a Synergy reef overflow...it replaced a MAME glass overflow...Best move yet.

Tank - ADA 60P ~17 gallons

Sump - 20g long DIY with refugium

Tank light - AI Hydra 26HD w/DIY diffuser

Sump light - 2 x Taotronics grow lights

Flow - Vortech MP10 & 2 returns

Skimmer - Aquamaxx WS-1

Synergy reef shadow overflow - bean animal configuration

2 x Eheim 1250 return pumps

Tunze osmolator ATO

10g Trigger systems ruby ATO container

Not sure if I forgot something but that’s the main stuff. Dosing is done manually since I don’t have anything too demanding but will get a doser eventually.

Amino acids dosed regularly.

I ‘ll add a couple iPhone pictures , this will have to do for now. Hope you enjoy!

Thank you for the kind words. I might add an SPS up top just cuz it looks pretty empty up there but gotta watch out for the anemone growth as well so I’ll see...maybe a green branching montipora ...red is dominating in this tank.

oh and a blue maxima clam...then let everything grow and fill in...

Thanks I like the lily pipe, but I only went this way cuz I already had the lily pipe from my freshwater tank.

I do like the look though and when the glass is clean it’s barely noticeable...

Since my overflow is pretty long, I was honestly afraid of drilling too close to the glass edge, I probably have about 3” inch on either side of the overflow so a hole that close to the edge was not something I wanted to do at that time...

How did you drill yours? One or two returns?

I see , that looks good but yeah better safe than sorry on my part especially since I drilled the tank with fish and coral in it so to say I was scared to drill it to begin with is an understatement.

lily pipe works good and pretty simple to clean compared to the MAME overflow. What a pain that was...

You drilled with water in the tank?

You are much braver than I am!

Yes sir. I had to.....lowered the water just barely under the template holes and drilled away. I assure you I was as nervous as it can get...

Tank looks good. Drilling is easy, slow, wet, and let the drill do the work. There's a dirty innuendo in there, but I'm really talking about drilling glass. ?

Ok, turned up the white on the hydra a little bit and instant better pictures...the blue tint is killing me, so hard to take pics of the corals especially with the phone.

This cynarina is one of my favorites.

Just a comparison picture of my lobo and how it looked before it’s decline...I suspect it’s going to be a long recovery to it’s former glory but does anyone have an idea what to feed this guy in the meantime? They seem more finicky , somewhat comparable to Duncans in terms of sensivity .Speaking of Duncans, I attached a picture of my huge colony I lost after dumping in more Magnesium than I should have....still kicking myself for that.

The lobo doesn’t take mysis anymore, only reef caviar(capelin eggs) but not eating like before....barely a few eggs here and there...

Its favorite food was Nutramar Ova but seems like everyone is out of that currently.

Im not concerned yet but just thinking out loud...

And since Im uploading pictures anyway, I ‘ll put one of my BTA before the split. Now it needs good feeding to get it huge again:)

If you guys want me to stop with the pictures let me know. I’ll upload even more ...haha

Some new fish going in today. Not sure what I will find at the LFS but they have plenty of Nano fish.

Any suggestions ?

I always google the fish I like right there on the spot to see if it’s suitable for the tank but extra knowledge is always good...

Currently I have pair of clowns. The orange female and the black with white spot male which is way smaller but they get along...

EDIT: I should say though, I’ve lost quite a few jumpers; royal gramma, red dragonet, regular dragonet (both were eating nutramar ova and mysis), 1 chromis that got bullied by the clown, goby, etc

Some I saved after their 1st jump cuz I was home, but some were suicidal during the night...

I know a screen sounds like a great idea but oh how I hate the look on a rimless tank, especially since I can see top down while standing up...(my tank is only 14” high ).
