This being only my second saltwater tank. It took me longer than I wanted to get it going and I'm happy with the results so far. I plan on adding lots of Zoas's.

Standard 20 long with custom insert from Octo Aquatics.

Blenny is starting to poke his head out. I have only seen him eat one brine shrimp that floated near him. Clowns are getting along nicely. Also added three bumblebee snails. Media rack should be done in the next day or so, will post photos if i can remember.

Will a new tank consume more CA and ALK?

KH 7

CA 300

PH 7.8

Ammonia, Nitrate, Phosphate 0

Temp 77

Getting ready for the first WC tonight

Did a 25% WC, new water tested at ALK 12 and CA 440.

Another positive is clownfish ate pellets for the first time. Blenny came out and chased food, looked to be getting more comfortable in the new tank.

Yesterday added a small zoa frag on the new rock. Frogspawns are starting to open after being fragged before the move. Any one wanna throw out suggestions for additional coral to add(LPS, softies, zoas, ect). Also how soon could a urchin or sea star be added?

Tested CA and ALK again. KH 7 and CA came up to 340.  This is the first time having these low numbers, when in the 8g cube( less water volume )the numbers were CA 420/KH 8. Does the numbers drop with evaporation and top off?

Returned home this evening to find my trumpet coral not looking good, my bta which is close to it was retracted. Check parameters ammonia 0,nitrate <10, phosphate 0, alk 8. I'll be keeping a close eye on it
